Submitting October 28/November 2 ACT/SAT Scores to Harvard SCEA?

Hi,

I was reading Harvard’s policies on submitting test scores for if one is applying Early Action, and it says the following:

"If you are applying Early Action, we would like your testing results by the end of October; however, you may submit the November series if needed. Those results are expected to arrive in time for consideration without the need and expense of “rush reporting.”

I already have scores on file, but I’m assuming this means that applicants can submit October ACT and November SAT Subject Test scores if we’re applying SCEA? In order to submit these scores to Harvard, would we have to put Harvard down as one of the schools we want the scores sent to when taking the test, or is there another way to submit our scores after the November 1 EA deadline?

Harvard accepts self-reported scores. There may be a way to update scores via the admission portal after submission of the app.

So does the admission portal not automatically close after the November 1st deadline for EA applicants?

For most colleges, after you submit the Common App, you receive portal login credentials from the college via email. The portal is used through the end of the admission process.

No; it remains open, although at some undetermined time before decision date, any updates will still be added to the file, but will likely be ignored.

Ok, thank you so much for the responses!
