Does submitting an application on the day it’s due look bad? I have done that for a lot of colleges I have applied to. It’s not that I procrastinated, it’s just that I want EVERYTHING to be perfect and make sure everything is as good as it can be. Also, it’s nerve-racking lol
No. It happens all the time. Make some popcorn and pull up a chair and read the bazilliion panicked posts on this site on Dec 31 and Jan 1st. But no affect-- the colleges actually WANT you to apply, you know.

Highest volume of apps come in on the due date and day before the due date. it’s fine for most schools, but some schools such as michigan start reviewing apps as they come in so would be advantageous to send ASAP. Most schools u dont have to worry about though
Sometimes the common app goes down under heavy traffic. I’d submit a couple days early.
Colleges don’t really care when they receive your application just that it was before the deadline. For RD, it may be dangerous to submit on that date just because there are so many people doing the exact same thing. There is a chance of system overload or just some submission blip at a particular school. I would submit on some date not ending in 1,15 or the last date of the month.
