I have taken both tests, the SAT twice and the ACT once (after both SAT sittings), but what happens for schools like Stanford or UPenn that require you to submit all your scores.

Here's a quote of UPenn's admission site:

Penn requires first-year applicants to take the SAT Reasoning Test and two SAT Subject Tests in different subjects OR the ACT Plus Writing. No preference is given to either test. However, Penn requires that applicants submit all testing results from each administration of the ACT, SAT, and SAT Subject Tests.

My SAT CR score is very weak for the caliber of schools I will be applying to. UPenn doesn't have a preference to either test (which I'm just going to assume means they'll use a conversion factor for my ACT to SAT-- the former of which trumps the latter by far), so I'm wondering if my ACT will, in a sense, "mask" my SAT scores (which I will have to submit). UPenn does "look at my best individual scores."

Side question: I DO actually have to submit my SAT scores since I actually took it right? I'm assuming this is the case, instead of "in the event you choose to submit your SAT in addition to the ACT, you must submit all scores; if you took the SAT but don't want to submit it you don't have to, you're only required to submit ALL scores if you wish to submit any score in the first place."

Just a lingering thought that I've had for awhile.
