I wanted to apply to Purdue early for merit scholarship and honors college consideration, but could not find their deadline for sending SAT scores. I knew that they wanted self reported grades until acceptance, at which point they would need a transcript, but they provided no dates for SAT. I called this afternoon to get clarification and they told me that SAT scores needed to be received by the time I submitted the application. This is the first college I’ve heard of that will not accept scores after the application deadline, despite the fact that they will have arrived by the time review of my application begins. I went ahead and ordered the rush reporting to hopefully get them in on time, but I feel that it is a low chance, as it takes 2-4 business days and Nov. 1 is the 2nd business day after ordering. Does anyone have experience with this rush reporting system or does anyone know why Purdue would require me to have scores in by the time I apply?
Each school set up their rules. Purdue is not the only one that wants scores in by deadline. Some schools would not even accept rush score. Anyway, it would only save you a couple business days.
