Submitting SAT scores

I totally forgot about doing this. I just did it now and I did the "rush" thing. It says that it will ship in two days. When will this get to my colleges? Will they mind if it's not there by January 1st?

(Also, does Jan 1st deadline mean on Jan 1st or by Jan 1st?)

I don't think you have much to worry about. A lot of schools accept late SATs, even the January scores.

I applied ED2 to Wash U though, which has a turnover of 2 weeks (I hear by Jan 15). Should I call them? How long do you think it will take for them to get the scores?

In that case, you should probably call them. With the holiday rush, mail will probably be received a bit later. To be on the safe side, your best bet is to contact them.

I actually rushed mit my scores a couple days ago; they recieved them in 2 days so I wouldn't worry too much. But you should call and make sure that Wash U accepts rushed scores, some schools won't.

ouch. their office is closed today.
german--by 2 days do you mean 2 days after they sent them out? On the college board site, it says they send the actual scores out 2 days after you make the order, so I assume it would take 4 or 5 days with the mailing time.

One more question--I'm taking an SAT II in January. Do I send all my scores over after I take that or when I get my scores back?

oh wait--do they send it online and not thru mail?

"(Also, does Jan 1st deadline mean on Jan 1st or by Jan 1st?)"

That is a good question - anyone with answers around?

I think most schools will accept SAT scores a bit late... I sent all mine normally on like Dec. 18 or 19 for a Jan 1 deadline. I think that deadline is mainly for parts of the app you are directly responsible for, ie essays, personal info, etc.

Cornell for example, told me to send it normally, even when I called on the 19th.

JackJackson, mit recieved my score report 2 days after I ordered it rushed; that would be through the mail. Schools like Columbia don't accept rush reports b/c the collegeboard sends them paper copies. Columbia requires regular reports instead, as some schools, Columbia included, use online reports only.
