Submitting Scores for Early Admission Deadlines

Hi everybody! I have a quick question. So I am currently a senior and want to take the SAT for the last time in October. However, does it mean that I have to have my scores sent directly without me seeing it in order to make the common deadline of Nov 1. I would appreciate any input. Thanks

Depends. For most colleges that have EA or ED, the test scores can arrive after the Nov 1 application deadline and you can wait to see your Oct SAT scores before sending (many even accept Nov SAT test scores). However, some colleges require test scores to be provided by the application deadline and if a required test score is not provided by Nov 1, you will be kicked over to regular admission. Those typically say on their sites that scores need to be provided by the application deadline or say that your application file must be “completed” by the application deadline (they will also usually say that the Oct ACT will be too late). Two of those I am aware of are Michigan and Illinois but there are a number of others. Thus, you need to check what each particular college to which you are applying requires.
