So I'm a junior and decided to take the ACT. I've already done pretty well on the SAT (2150 first time - will probably go up after June). Unfortunately, the ACT date fell right around finals and a week after SATs, something I overlooked in signing up for the test. I really don't think I did so well...at all, given most of my time was devoted to either SATs or finals. My question is, for schools that require you to submit ALL scores, would I have to submit ACTs in addition to SATs simply because I took them, or could I just submit all of my SAT scores? While I'm on the subject, am I also required to submit all of my AP scores?

No, you are certainly not required to send both ACT and SAT scores if you’ve taken both tests. However, college admissions policies may vary on whether you have to send all scores for a particular test (i.e. some may want all scores for whatever test you choose to take, while others may only ask you to submit scores you want them to see).

AP scores are usually self-reported on your college app (and it’s perfectly fine to omit a score you aren’t particularly proud of); however, the college you matriculate into will see all of your AP scores (this doesn’t matter, but you may end up getting credit for a test that you subjectively judge to be “bad”).

Keep in mind that colleges may vary; it’s best to err on the side of caution and double-check the admissions policies of the schools you’re applying to.

Okay, that’s a relief haha. I had yale in mind when I wrote it…their website is really vague.
