ok, so this summer research deadline is by februrary 1st, tonight. but the thing is i procrastinated and am not ready to submit everything by tonight. would it be ok to submit it like a day or two late? also, if you don't have any prior undergrad research experience at your school, would that be ok? because for one of the responses, it asks what prior research experience you have, but what would you write if you don't have any? i'm a bio major but i transferred from a school that didn't have many research opportunities which is why i don't have any at the junior level.

You never help yourself in any situation with an application deadline to submit your application late. If you don’t have strong credentials (eg, no prior experience when they ask about it), you have even more reason to try to submit on time. All you can do is submit it, as it does not sound like you have a good reason for being late, and hope they still look at it. But make some backup plans for the summer (which you should do anyway, on time or not) in case you don’t get this opportunity. Not sure what you are applying for, but many research opportunities that have an application process are very competitive.
