I have somewhat weak extracurriculars and was wonderring if anyone has any experience with submitting websites, as supplements to their application, they designed/created? I'm confident in my coding skills in that most any problem layout-wise I can tackle and get it to work in any number of browsers, but I realize that most admissions officers aren't going to see that. The quality of my designs is variable, but I'm getting better and I think that if websites are at all considered, then my designs would at least make a good impression. I'm not planning on taking any arts courses, although if a typography or color theory class were offered, I might be interestedso design isn't my chief pursuit. For what it's worth, it is an "activity" that I want to continue, i.e. working on the college website.

Should I not do it at all? Should I send in printouts of the sites on nice paper? Should I send a link to the webmaster of a college's site and tell the admissions officer I did that? Here is some of my work, if it helps:

A website for the Oberlin College's French House dorm. This isn't currently on the actual site yet, but I can get it on if I decide to submit some of my work. It is also incomplete but the Calendrier link works.

I'm not looking for critique or anything, but I just thought that this is a big thing that I do outside of school and have dedicated a lot of time to. Would two to three designs be a good number? Will the fact that I'm not planning any design type major hurt me? Thanks for any help :)

Oh, and it's probably important to mention that these are all, except for the one with a working link, concept designs. The majority of the paid/volunteer web work (I've only done a little paid work) I do is in code, since it's what I most comfortable in. For those experienced: would it be better for me to translate these into actual working pages, to show that I can actually make them work in a browser? I can do it and work quickly, but I don't want to waste my time otherwise.
