I’m in the process of completing my ADT program for business administration . I wondering if I took Calculus l and ll already so do I still have to take math 130 again( ADT required) or if there is anyway that I can skip that class?
Anyone help!!
It would help others help you if you more completely describe the situation.
ADT = associates degree for transfer?
What (community?) college are you at now?
What college are you trying to transfer to?
What is Math 130?
Though more information is definitely needed, it seems like your issue can be answered with a simple phone call to your institution, if I’m understanding this correctly.
Yes. ADT is associate degree to transfer. I’m currently attending fullerton college and trying to transfer to cal state fullerton . Math 130 is business calculus
http://www.fullcoll.edu/sites/all/userfiles/file/FullertonCollegeCatalog_2017-18_8-14-17.pdf page 94 says that the AS-T requires Math 120 (introductory probability and statistics) or Math 130 (calculus for business). If you have taken Math 120 (which you may need as a business major anyway, depending on the college you transfer to), then it looks like you do not need to worry about it. Or you can take Math 120 and not worry about wasting time in Math 130.
It would make sense that Math 150A or 151 (calculus 1) can substitute for Math 130, but you should ask your college to be sure.
I didn’t take Math 120 so what u think?
If your college does not allow Math 150A or 151 that you presumably already took to cover Math 130, it would be more useful to take Math 120 to learn new and potentially useful material, if it is important to you to complete an AA-T/AS-T.
Ask your college to find out if Math 150A or 151 that you presumably already took does cover Math 130 for the AA-T/AS-T.
