Hey guys, so I just realized that I clicked substance free for my housing, so now I'm in a double in Markley substance free. Does that mean everybody around me won't want to party and have a good time?? I'm worried this will ruin my college experience :( I really wanted just a non-smoking room!

All rooms are smoke-free. As is the campus.

i know…but i wasn’t really asking that…just more how much of a difference s.f is from everybody else?

go drink with friends in their rooms, not yours.

eh i’ve heard substance free is full of weird people, try to switch lol

yeah, i knew of a substance free floor, and all they did was play video games against eachtoher and link up whenever they got the chance, beware

Can you swap rooms with somebody of a different gender? I just found somebody who wants to switch from non smoking in markley to sub free in markley…

nope, it needs to be same gender for markley i think

Is substance free in Markley really that bad? Can anybody from a substance free dorm tell us about their experience?

It’s Markley. You are going to have fun. Maybe the people in your hall won’t be your best friends, but it’s not unlivable. The main difference is that if you are caught with alcohol or drugs in your room, you’re gonna get in a lot more trouble because you specifically signed off saying you were not going to do any of that. Just drink in your friends room and think of it as a positive, you’ll probably have a quieter hall for studying and sleeping.

So are entire halls in Markley substance free?
