I'm majoring in journalism and I really want internships. IMO if you're a journalism major and don't get any internships you won't find a job after college. Again, this is my own personal opinion. I found "Substantial internship opportunities for all majors" on the college board and thought that if it's true I should definitely take more time to consider Marist. I have a presidential scholarship and was accepted to the honors program which I'm unsure about. You see, I was set about a week ago on going to UT Austin which is huge and so of course there are a lot of opportunities for internships and such but with the number of students at UT it's extremely competitive. Also b/c UT is such a large school if you were in honors it would help a great deal b/c you would get smaller classes and more attention, however I'm not sure what the benefits of being in honors at Marist are. I don't want to risk lowering my GPA if it's not that benefitial.
