Success at the Air Force Academy

Stvblm,
I was only joking around- and obviously I failed. I did not mean to offend anybody. I am sorry if I came across as offensive.

laugh it off, laugh it off :D

Perfect advice mismuff, I think the hot weather has gotten to everyone. I cannot remember seeing everyone so touchy in the last four years. As a parent I hope everyone can remember the original focus of this forum was to help prospective candidates and provide insight to Cadet life. Doc France (Col. Dr. Martin France) was the original moderator and it has been great watching this grow and get passed on to current cadets. I hope everyone can put the tensions of an impending I-day, the stresses of a summer OPS assignment, and whatever other bug crawled up their behind to bring the focus back where it belongs.

I agree. Also those of you who are going to enter Beast, get ready for some heavy duty critizism. As missmuff said, laugh it off (on the inside though).

impending i-day? you mean the one that's only 19 days away? hehe... yeah guys. we all need to chill. get a big glass of real iced sweet tea and relax

haha sweet tea. it's so funny you can totally tell where everyone's from by stuff they say :)
nothing wrong with that, but i think it's amazing how we all come from across the nation. hahaha, just my random thoughts

Tea's good, I guess, but I've just been stuffing myself with chocolate.

lol giraffe, i've totally been stuffing myself recently...hmm i probably shouldn't gain a lot of weight right before basic, eh? haha

Eh, you'll run it off. Or push-up it off.

or kick it off

Yea like wife beaters? Here in the Bronx we call those tang tops. Hmm not sure where you're from if you say stuff like tea. Virginia maybe?

ah everyone knows mississippi has the best sweet tea! haha.. yeah i've been loadin up on some good food before i-day.. no doubt i'll miss home cookin

Good food at home makes you appreciate Thanksgiving that much more. Not that Mitch's isn't delicious, of course... ;)

...trust me, you start to miss even mitch's though when you pick up some authentic Korean seafood with chopsticks and say "what the heck is this stuff?"...I still don't know what half the stuff I've eaten over here is.

Oh no your eating the food.... :) The spicy crab will burn your sinuses, and the Bugogi (Spicy Pork) may just put you in your grave....but then again I think Taco Bell is hot.

Come on, DS. Bul-gogi rocks! especially when its made at your table and wrapped in lettuce leaves. Loved the stuff over there, and loved wandering the back alleys of the Korean markets looking at the exoctic (at least to us) foods. And a bag of yaki-man-doo (at least that how I think you spell it :) )after a night on on the town always went down as a highlight of the evening.

Word of caution. Avoid the Kie-golgi (again, sp -5?) pronounced Kay-golgi. Won't say what it is, but here's a clue: bow-wow. Arff, Arff!

Yeah I think that is why I survived on Burger King, Popeyes, and the Clubs for food. The Combat Bowls full of Soju and kool-aid at the Golden Gate were the near death of many. Oh and the motorbikes that would speed down the side streets tried to end my life more than a couple of times. Seriously I had great time there.

Should point out that potters mom is half Japanese and after spending time in Yokota (Fusa City - Tokyo) and Misawa, plus twenty five years of marriage I still won't touch Natto and Rice or Tofu.

This thread has changed directions so many times. Kinda funny when you go back and read it.

Cadets in Seoul - You might want to avoid Kimchi. BUT, authentic Korean BBQ is really wonderful if you find a place that serves real beef!

ds - NO RICE!!!! What's the matter with you? :) But, I'm with you on tofu.

The most wonderful rice in the world is Jasmine Rice and no one does it better than the Thai people. For regular 'sticky" rice, it is the Japanese, hands down! Give me rice over potatoes - any day!

Oh, to be back in the Asian countries again!

Oh I'll eat the rice just not the Natto (stinky fermented soy bean).
