Success Stories: Good HS Record w/ Bad College Record

Anyone have any successful transfers with a crappy beginning college record and was able to transfer later on to a good college? If so, which college did you transfer to? What did you pull off on your ACT/SAT? What was your major?

Hoping to hear some stories for inspiration. I had good HS grades but slacked off at my 4-year college with no direction on what I wanted to do in the future, and got kicked out of college because of low grades. Now I've seen manny success stories of bad HS grades and were able to redeem themselves with a year or two with good community college grades but I don't see many success stories of good HS grades, slacked off for 2-3 years at college and were able to transfer to a good school with a 1 year of very good grades at a CC school. It seems colleges/universities are reluctant to accept someone once they've done bad in the past.

It's also been 4+ years now that I've earned these bad grades so I'm not sure how much this will factor in admissions.

Why the hell would anyone want to post on here about that lol, thats like saying they were handed good grades and couldn't cut it in college. But good luck to you, the important thing in college decisions is they want to see an upward trend.. just keep working hard and you'll get accepted somewhere.

It doesn't necessarily mean they were just handed good grades in HS. It could also mean they couldn't handle being away from home(homesickness), the freedom or whatever and partied too much.

so what you really want is a

'Good HS Record w/ Bad College Record..and then Good College Record'
