i dont get your stats. you say you "improved upon" them, yet you say "first time" for all of your tests. your GPA is perfect too. doesnt make any sense. unless you meant middle school or something...

i disagree on your first statement, though. having super stats and no ecs is better. having those qualities will get you into any state college. the opposite, however, wont get you into all. ive seen kids who are busy 24/7 with mediocre stats get rejected from tons of places, while the super stats kids get into all the state unis.

for ivies and top privates, though, theyre both bad. you need both, as you said.

@ zzzboy: Eek, I hope my essays cut it for NU and JHU! My SAT and grades are similar but my subject tests so far are nowhere near yours, haha.

i dont blame the colleges for rejecting me, but to think im a nerd is just ew.

That describes my sentiments exactly. I don't want schools to think that just because I get good grades and have no great ECs, I spend my time studying. -__- I spend my time, you know, being a teenager and hanging out with friends and stuff. I mean, I guess I don't have a problem if they assume that I'm lazy, lol, since that's closer to the truth -- as long as they don't think I'm boring and just spend my life on academia (please!), as seems to be the stereotype of people with good stats and not great ECs.

@ hieronymus: I looked at your thread and you're not human. Although zzzboy's right; there are some discrepancies...
