Successful stories for ACT?

I'm just wondering:

what's your improvement from the 1st ACT and the 2nd ACT?

how much effort did you put into (how much did you study?)

I'm taking the ACT for the 2nd times in September so I want to see anybody who had improved from the first time to the second time.

Thanks for sharing!

I went up from a 29 to a 33 (one subscores off from 34) with about 3 hours per day for 5 days. Best of luck and improving your score can happen!

Did you do a lot of practices? I’m doing a lot of practices but I’m getting ups as downs on my sub scores and similar scores on my composition… Is that normal?

I did a lot of practice for the sat, I mean a lot. Then for the act I walked in blind and got a 33, if it wasn’t for science I would have gotten a 35.

I took the ACT in April and got a 34. Then I just took a LOT of practice tests and went over my mistakes and ended up with a 36 in June.

If you see jumps in your scores from practice tests, then you are having trouble with the harder level questions or you need to work on your timing. Just continue to take practice tests and review your missed questions. I also timed myself short 5 minutes for each section so I would be better prepared for the actual test
