So I’ve always wondered, how does one kill brain cells?

^It’s a difficult process. It involves opening the skull, carefully extracting a few cells from the Medulla Oblongata, and placing them in a 90% solution of methanol which coagulates them within half an hour. It has to be performed under general anesthetic an the recovery period is usually 4-6 weeks. 84% of people who have undergone this operation have reported that they feel stupider.

my best friend smokes weed only on the weekends and he is currently our school’s salutatorian (its a big school btw)

I smoked on 4/20 with one of my classmates that now attends MIT. During winter break, I smoked with another friend of mine who also attends MIT. Smartest bud users I’ve ever had the pleasure of smoking with.

A lot of the most intelligent and highest ranked (I consider them 2 different entities) students at my school are recreational/frequent users of weed and alcohol.

Of course, there’s the groups of kids who are druggies and they do bad in school. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned in high school, it’s that just because you do drugs doesn’t instantly mean you’re bound for no life and future. (Contradictory to what my parents told me…)

I know many intelligent kids who use weed on a regular basis- just like I know a lot of washed-up failures who smoke it too. I’ve always thought that marijuana has no real effect on grades, save being a time waster. Alcohol leaves a hangover, but when used on the weekends it probably doesn’t hurt too much, either. Harder drugs are a different story, for all kinds of reasons.

It really depends on the person, how they view drugs, and their priorities.

Hmm me? I enjoy it and I do well in class.

I know where this question comes from though, a lot of kids that smoke take it too far and just end up being idiotic with school. You gotta find a balance.

choichoipower- what you may label as a “stoner” others may call a recreational user
So what if they partake? Is it because he got into better colleges than you?
Jealousy is not a good trait to have 2choi, I’m sure you are a better person that that.

I got a 34 on the ACT coming off of ecstasy. Anecdotal evidence ftw.

I know and friends of many smart people who smoke. Almost all my friends do it, myself included. We are all relatively smart most of us in the top 10% of the class. To tell you the truth, most of our grades have gone up since we started.

The #2 boy in my grade smokes every weekend and got into Yale early. So, I would say that it doesn’t really translate into bad grades/unintelligent.

Most of the smartest kids at my school drink/smoke pot. Some a little, some a lot. I personally don’t, but I’m not very highly ranked–maybe I should start. It’s a pretty noncompetitive schools (noncompetitive in the sense that people aren’t asses who fight about grades; it is one of the top ranked schools in the state)l, so I don’t know who the top 10 or 20 or whatever are, but I’d guess a high percentage of them partake.

Me. Top 10 in a class of 600.
