Would successfully withdraw classes on my transcript give a negative impression to the colleges I am transferring?

I have withdrawn two classes. I took two classes my freshmen year and then withdrew from them because I found out that they didn't match my interest. Do you guys think that I should explain this in my application?

Yes, they do look bad since it seems as if you can’t handle a heavy course load. Make sure to explain these withdrawals in the section of your application allotted for additional miscellaneous information. However, just to let you know, “they didn’t match my interest” isn’t really a valid excuse, but you only have 2 so depending upon the number of credits that you’ve taken and if the withdrawals have anything to do with your major (I’m assuming they don’t) they it shouldn’t matter much as long as everything else is in order.
