I basically suck at section 10 of the SAT. Is there any way I can keep energized and able to score high?

I took the SAT on 5 hour energy. I know a lot of people say not to do this for various reasons, but I did it a little differently. I took 4 practice tests, timed just like the real thing, and I basically got used to taking the test on a stimulant. I know it helped me, although everyone else on here is probably gonna tell you not to do what I did… This is just my experience no reason to copy me.

P.S. I got a 2280 just so you know I don’t suck at the SAT or anything. Haha.

Well I’m speaking without the 5 hours wait in between. Like I do section 4, and then I do section 10. And I suck. When I review, I realize my mistakes instantly.

Yeah,…

why don’t you do sections 5-9 in between 4 and 10?

Sometimes I just want “writing prep”, so I only do the writing section alone

Keep on taking practice tests. That would help exercise your brain for the long duration of time that it takes to complete the SAT.

To condition your brain do as what you posted above. Take all the SAT math sections at one time. Then go on to CR. And then Writing. Or whichever order you want since it doesn’t really matter. First do one portion at a time and take a break between one from the other. Once you do this several times, do the portions back to back except for that 5 minute break given to test takers. Though from my friends who took the test in June, it seemed as if they had 2 5 minute breaks

Josh, I’m so sorry to say this, but what?

Let me just write what I got: You want me to take section by section whichever order and take breaks constantly in between? And then you lost me.

Oh haha I guess I wasn’t very clear even to myself now that I reread it.
I’ll go step by step this time.
First time:
- Take all the math sections at one time.
- Take a break.
- Correct the math sections and review why you got it wrong
- Repeat steps 1-3 for the CR sections and W sections.

As you get better and better:
- Take all the math sections at one time but don’t stop. Keep on going until you finish with the CR sections. Finally, finish the W sections without any break in between.

Order doesn’t matter for either. You can do CR, then W, then M, or whatever depending on what you need to work on. Since W will always be the last section in the SAT and the one you’re having trouble with, I suggest you do W last so that you can condition your brain to do well after 3.5 hours once you reach section 10.

Does this make more sense?

YES! And That sounds like a great idea! Thanks Josh05 for both clearing it up and telling me this cool idea. It sounds effective. Definitely will try it :D
