Suddenly Doing Worse After Going Over the Practice Tests in a Prep Book

Hi everyone!

So I have an SAT coming up on August 2016. For the entirety of the summer I have been studying like crazy, asking my mom to buy books with new practice tests. I have been consistently doing well on all of these tests, usually not getting more than 2 questions wrong on the English sections, and usually perfect scores for the math sections. (For context, I took the SAT a year ago and received a 1470. I have been using the Princeton Review, College Board, and Test Master tests along with Erica Meltzer’s books to improve.) However, recently I started doing the tests in the Kallis SAT book. I don’t want to flame this book, but the questions were VERY hard. I eventually started doing better a couple tests in, but stopped at the last test because I just felt that the tests were an accurate representation of what the real SAT was like.

So here’s the kicker:
I restarted taking the tests from Test Masters, and suddenly I did terrible! (9 mistakes in the reading section, but the rest were fine.) For comparison, the first time I took the TestMaster test, I got 4 mistakes.

So how do I resolve my problem? Is it just because of the inaccurate tests in the Kallis book that I am doing badly, or what?

Help me please! :frowning:

I have never heard of the Kallis books. Princeton Review is an accurate picture of what the real SAT looks like. So, if you want stop Kallis and go back to PR and work from there. I use Barrons and PR and thats pretty much a good review for the test. Don’t freak out in the last minute. If you want just get back to PR and Masters, but I think that you ll be fine.
