Suffolk University in Boston, MA.

Hello, I had come across this school not knowing too much about how good of a school it was. I have heard and read that it is a fantastic school, it is also reputable. My parents though have not heard anything about the school, what could I tell them about this school that would inspire them somewhat. Also I would like to learn more about the school if you know anything about I mean anything about it, then please feel free to make any comments or suggestions. Thank You.

I'm not really surprised that your parents have not heard about Suffolk. I worked in Boston for about 2 years and to my knowledge I never encountered a Suffolk graduate (at the bachelor's level) and never have since. However I did have a roommate who graduated from Suffolk University Law School. It is a "legitimate" law school in the sense that it is accredited (and my roommate passed the Bar Exam his first try). I imagine the same thing ("legitimate" and "accredited") applies to the rest of the school but I sure don't know about "fantastic", I didn't get that sense at all from my roommate and to tell you the truth, if it was really that good I think I would have been in a position to hear about it. But beyond that I don't know; maybe the "fantastic" part just has to do with its location, which appears to be pretty sweet.

Thanks a lot weldon, yea the fantastic part is based on the location. I appreciate though, I would like to go to a college that is well known as well. I am sure it is a great school for those who are in the Massachusetts area. Thanks a lot.

I actually just visited Sufflolk this weekend. I had never heard of it before, but it was recvomended by a friend who had graduated from Bentlee (other school in boston area)
yeah i feel suffolk is very underrated, and the academic standards are a little low (as a 4.6 out of 5 gpa, suffolk is a saftey) but it seems like a greaat school
the local area is AMAZING its so beautiful and i took a tour with a current Suffolk student and the dorms are like hotels almost, its rly nice. i give an A for the facilities.
since I am looking at schools with a good art program, i was able to go to the art/design building at suffolk. It was formerlly the New England school of art and design but was bought by suffolk. it is AMAZING, actually right next to Emerson, and the studios are amazing and big for a small student body. the art is also very non-traditional. if interested, deffinatly recomend worth seeing.
