suggest a school for a kenyan

Am Kenyan student from a family with a total of $5000 before tax annual income. My stats are.
Gpa 82/84
SAT 1900 -670 M 610 CR 620 W ( i know its a poor score.
Subject Tests 690 Chem 700 math 1 700 physics

Any suggestions.I know am a low performer but am hopeful

Howard University is your best choice since it offers quite generous MERIT scholarship, not financial aid. Ask your school or admission office what the GPA would be in 4.0 scale. You are eligible for legacy scholarship(it has nothing to do with the “legacy” in admission term) that offers full tuition and fee. Apply there asap.

Can you retake ACT/SAT and get better math+CR?

Your stats are way too below the average of the top schools that offer need based aid and/or merit scholarship, and even others schools that offer automatic scholarship strictly based on scores and GPA won’t be good for your due to your extremely low budget.

I don’t think Howard will provide a full ride to internationals, at least not with OP stats.

OP
You need to look at the lower ranking automatic scholarship schools, such as Alabama State. There is still a Residual COA, you may cover that with on campus jobs.

@artloversplus they actually do give full ride merit scholarship under certain criteria which is 1500 to 1600math and cr and 3.8 gpa. I asked the admissioon last year. I was thinking about applying there but I couldnt because i was too busy.

They do offer full rides for stats. OP needs to apply ASAP because they’re given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Come on guys, of course Howard give full ride scholarships. But guys, do the math. Howard require 1400(M+CR) on SAT OP had only 1280, do you think he is going to get it? I think OP will be good at Alabama State,

for these scores, OP gets full tuition and fees. If he retakes the SAT and scores just +30 points, that’s full tuition, fees, and room paid for.
