Suggest me a school!?!?

I am from Boston, MA and currently a junior in high school and I plan to major in political science.

I would like to go somewhere near a city, out of New England, and somewhere in the Midwest or South.

I am in the top 35% of my class because I was a major slacker as an underclassman. I have improved a lot and will have taken 5 AP classes by the end of high school.

I have very good extracurricular, loads of community service from around the world, and some involvement in sports at my school. I think my extracurricular activities will help me greatly.

I would like a liberal arts school but I am open to anything you guys throw at me so suggest away!

have a look at rhodes college in memphis

I don't know how the school is political science wise, but Goucher near Baltimore may be worth a look.

Emory. Fabulous school in Atlanta. Small university with an LAC-like atmosphere.

American University in DC. Small university. Fabulous for PS. Great location for internships and such.

Tulane. Great small university, and NO is a great city to get involved in. Lots of opportunity. I think a member here (tulsadem) is looking to go there for political science (might be worth your while to send a PM).

Then, if you don't mind a short drive: Elon. They have a great international focus. Close to Greensboro, and not too far from Raleigh.

Occidental could also be a great choice, if you don't mind going west. Maybe Santa Clara.

Check out Webster University in St. Louis. About 3,000 students, very strong Poly Sci department, and a huge focus on internationalism and study abroad. Webster University

Also think about Oxford College of Emory. You do the first two years at Oxford College, and then you are automatically admitted to Emory. Similar to BU's College of General Studies, except that Oxford has its own campus 35 miles from Atlanta.

Just a thought.

Tulane sounds like a really good fit. hey have such a focus on community service and want the well rounded person. American U and George Washington U both sound good, too.

Thanks guys! Wondeing if there were any more ideas out there?
