I'm a rising senior and am having some difficulty finding a diverse group of colleges to look into; right now my prospective list is rather short.

What I'm looking for:

Size: Small-Medium (<15,000)
Academics: Very strong. I really love learning, and I want a place where this doesn't make me a minority. That being said, I still want a pretty good social life, with fun things to do. Definitely no party schools though.
Prestige Level: Doesn't matter. Hopefully someplace I've heard of before, though : )
Location: I'd rather not be in New England (weird, right?) or anyplace TOO cold (I am from MI, though, so I can still handle a lot).

I'm planning on studying English, or maybe Anthropology.

Stats:

GPA: 3.75 unweighted
ACT: 30
EC's: Pretty good, including some awards.
Rec's and Essays: Should be very good.

So if anyone wants to give me some suggestions on schools that might be a good fit, I would truly appreciate them! Thanks!

Question, are you female? If so, I would recommend Scripps College in Claremont, California. If you are male, I would recommend any of the other Claremont Colleges (Claremont McKenna/Pomona/Pitzer/Harvey Mudd, depending on your interests).

What are you thinking of studying exactly? What are your academic interests?

Whitman College in Washington is an excellent school. Maybe Lewis & Clark College in Portland?

We have similar stats, so I’m just listing colleges I applied to. :] (I’m going to Wellesley, so if you’re a girl then you should definitely look at that school!)
