<p>My only advice is that you don't make it too weird or funny--recall that this is the name you'll be giving out to everyone when they request your email. Friends, family, professors, etc.</p>
<p>Ditto that...your uniqname will be with you a LONG time. For example, if you apply for a campus job online, you'll apply w/ your Umich email...you want something professional and easy to remember.</p>

<p>I took a class with a guy from China my senior year in high school. He went by the name Michael for most of the class and then told us all to call him Ryan instead for the last month. Please stick with a name once you pick it. It gets very confusing when a person all of a sudden changes his or her name.</p>
<p>Pick "Princess Consuela Banana Hammock" or "Crap Bag" for just a touch of hilarity. Hope you watched "Friends" or this will sound like total nonsence.</p>
