Suggestion to those who are applying online

I want to make a suggestion to those who are applying to Brown online. I’ve seen a few instances here of people turning questions that are meant for just a few lines into full essays, and this is a bit troubling. So, I would suggest that instead of relying on the character limits imposed by the online application, all of you should download the paper application and take a look at how long your responses should be. If your response would not fit in the space provided on the paper app, then cut it down; it’s as simple as that.

Are you mainly talking about the "who or what interested you in Brown," short response?

^ i think he s/he is...after all, there are ppl who say they've written 500 word essays for the "why brown" statement...when they give you a mere 15 lines on the paper app.

its kinda hard to tell how long they want it to be with the online app...I know they give the character limit

EXACTLY, mgcsinc. The "who interested you in Brown" I don't think was intended to be an essay. On the paper form, they give you room for probably 30 something words.
