Suggestions: 2, 2 Minute Contrasting Female Monologues, Age 18-21ish

Hi, I'm auditioning for a huge theatre scholarship in March. My audition consists of 2, 2-minute contrasting monologues. They (and I) would prefer characters of the same age as me (18), and obviously female pieces, or pieces that can be played in a feminine sense.

I already have Funny Girl and the dinner scene by Bella from Lost In Yonkers memorized, but I am looking for more unique pieces. I definitely won't do any Barbara Streisand monologues or anything too cliche. In general, I'm not a fan of Shakespeare, and would prefer to do a more modern piece. Something classy and not too inappropriate.

All suggestions are welcome! Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

If you are trying to stay within the 18-21is age range, Bella is in her mid-thirties, so you might want to find another monologue. Some schools have a do not use list, and most specify to choose a character who is close to your age, so I dont know if a character in her mid-30's would be frowned upon or not... D ran into this same problam. Good luck!
