Colleges and Universities that I'm Considering:
Northwestern
UChicago (EA)
Ohio State
Miami U
NYU maybe??

Do these colleges seem to hard to get into? I need a place that will give good financial aid. I'll get full for chicago and it's by far my first choice. Anymore suggestions for schools that fit me? I like a school that different from the common school. Thanks guys :)

Chicago claims to look at the difficulty of your schedule and the strength of your essays more than any other factor, with scores at the bottom of the list. So you might stand a good chance with fabulous essays.

However, I agree that a 26 is not really on the same level as most Chicago applicants, and is almost certainly not good enough for NU (which I think is more numbers-based).

If you do want to stay in state, much as the school sucks, Case Western might suffice as a safety with reasonably good aid. I know that over half of the freshman class is from within the state, so it would seem that there is a little more competition for Ohio students. But generally I think you’d be fine with those numbers.

Your GPA and ECs look great, so keep up the good work there. If you could bring up your test scores it would really strengthen your application. You can look up stats for first year students at any school here.
gprime,
I don’t know if Case could be considered a safety here. The middle 50% percentile ACT score is 27-32.

Check out these five LACs, all U.S. News Best Values: co-ed traditional Centre (KY) & DePauw (IN); co-ed less traditional Beloit (WI); women only Scripps (CA) & Agnes Scott (GA).

i mean it’s to late to take anything again I didn’t think my score was that bad. No what I wanted, but still… I’m guessing northwesterns a bad choice too

Holy Cross-very good liberal arts school 1 hour from Boston. HC is a small version of Georgetown and is not that religious. Holy Cross has strong science program and nice campus.

“If you do want to stay in state, much as the school sucks, Case Western might suffice as a safety…”
I don’t know where you get the sucking part, I guess that’s in the eye of the beholder. However, I doubt in any case that this could be considered a safety- the OPs test scores are nowhere near the average for those attending and probably even farther off the average for admitted students.
