Other Info: I haven't been able to do as much the past year due to a pretty bad knee injury from soccer. I have had two surgeries and will continue Physical Therapy throughout the summer. This has limited my playing soccer, doing other EC and working, since there aren't alot of places willing to hire someone on crutches. This experience has changed my perspectives on a few things and has solidified my dreams of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.

Letters of Recommendation: will all be good. One teacher is also a leader for my youth group and commented on my faith and character as well as academics (has written me a letter of rec before and it was great). Another great one from the cordinator of MSC program who I had for math. I asked a couple of other teachers so I can pick the best ones. Councilors will probably be okay. she knows my ability but has never been overly fond of me. I don't think she will write something intentionally bad though.

Schools I am applying to (as of now):
U of Michigan
Purdue
Grand Valley State
Hope College
Alma College

I was originally looking at a smaller schools, so I don't know a ton about schools out of state. I have talked to various admissions counsilors at smaller schools who say that I am pretty much in. Out of the smaller schools, my top choices are Grand Valley State and Hope. I am possibly looking at Wayne State if I can get into the MedStart program. I can also probably get a full ride from Alma, so my mom wants me to apply there. I am also going to apply to U of Michigan...just about everyone from my M/S/C program goes there. I was originally hoping to play soccer in college at a DIII school (and was offered spots at alma and hope) but after a knee injury I may no longer play soccer at such a competitive level at risk of reinjuring it.
As a result, I have just recently begun looking at bigger schools (and will maybe just play club or intermural soccer there), and was wondering what type of schools I mght have a good chance of getting into.
I also know that there is not a lot of time left, but if you could tell me if any areas of my application are weak that would be great!

If you have any questions, just ask. I am sooo sorry this is so long. Thanks for any and all of the help!

I’ve only heard of two of the schools you’re applying to (U of Mich and Purdue) but I think that you have a really good chance at both of them

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/741705-chance-rising-senior-done-testing.html</a></p>

I second what was said above. Also, I wouldnt worry that much about the SAT. You dont have to send it in, colleges will take either SAT or ACT and your ACT score is great. I can’t imagine you’ll have trouble with any of these schools.

Thanks so far!

Does anyone have any suggestions for other schools for me to apply to?

well youre IN IN IN at all of those schools listed, you could aim a lot higher like Johns hopkins, Vanderbilt and USC
but for sure in at all those listed you have great stats

chance me back plz http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/742362-chance-me-one-more-time-more-info.html</a></p>

Thanks again! I was thinking about John Hopkins since they are well known for med stuff, but I would have to look into that school and the others you listed, but those are very helpful!

Anyone else have some ideas for other schools I would have a good chance at?

I would definitely suggest just submitting you ACT score when applying. That’s what I’m doing and I have similar scores.
I have never heard of those smaller school but you seem to have a good course load and some good ECs so I think you have a good shot.
Best of luck with that knee. I’ve had knee surgery too.

You are 100% in at all of the colleges that you listed. You are shooting WAY too low for someone with your fantastic stats/ec’s/everything. Hopkins would be a good high match/low reach for you.
