Next month we will be traveling to Charlotte to catch the Packers/Panthers game for our 25th wedding anniversary gift to ourselves. Other than the NASCAR Hall of Fame (which doesn't interest us in the slightest), any suggestions for things to do or see? Also any restaurant recommendations?

Oh dear…meant for this to be in Cafe and not sure how to delete it from here or move it.

Carowinds
Discovery Place

What kind of restaurants? There are so many!

Agree with all above

If interested in shopping…SouthPark Mall.

If interested in seeing local college campuses…Queens University of Charlotte, University of NC-Charlotte and just north of Charlotte, Davidson College.

btw, Carowinds is a theme park that sits on the NC/SC state line. Whitewater Center is an outdoor center on the west side of Charlotte where you can do whitewater rafting, zip line, climbing wall, canoe, hiking trail. Discovery Place is a hands-on science museum in downtown Charlotte. Epicenter is a sort of entertainment complex right downtown. There are lots of restaurants, some bars, a bowling alley, a movie theater, etc. You can google epicenter charlotte for a better description.

Here’s what I found on tripadvisor.com (my go-to place for travel info): [Things to Do in Charlotte - Charlotte Attractions - TripAdvisor](http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g49022-Activities-Charlotte_North_Carolina.html). Since hubby is into homebrewing, we’d probably visit Old Mecklenburg Brewery!
