For the summer of 2013 I am looking to partake in a summer program. I live in California and am looking for a summer program that is:

-Reasonably Priced
-Medical or Research Related
-Not very long
-Fun
-Hold weight in college admissions

I have looked at cosmos and young scholars at ucd but they are just tooooooo long of a program! However any suggestions are welcomed on what I should do this summer!!!

P.S. I am also interested in perhaps finding an expedition to participate in!

If you’re looking to travel as well, why not look for a two-week program that mixes academics and some cultural/fun things? My daughter traveled with Loop Abroad and loved it (and has even kept doing an internship with them, which seems to be helping her on the admissions front), but there are lots of other travel options out there too. Don’t be afraid to ask for financial aid or to consider fundraising too!

newyorkminute, Would you share some more of your daughter’s experiences with Loop Abroad? The program looks fantastic, but I’d appreciate some feedback from a parent whose teen attended the program.
