Suggestions for and econ/engineering major

I want to study economy and engineering (either computer/biomed/aerospace)

Can some give me some suggestions a little more broad than just putting all the Ivies, those would all be reaches for me...

Some possibilities I thought would be:

Cornell
Rochester
Case western
UI-UC
UMCP (in state)
Purdue

Thanks for any replies

Carnegie Mellon, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, Michigan

good question

Well, MIT obviously, but that's a reach for everybody.

I'm looking for somewhere with a bit more selective than a place like Babson coll. to give a reference point.

Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois

Duke is a reach.

My councelor told me I had about 60% chance at babson...I don't think im even gunna apply there buts its just a reference point.

thanks!

Chicago is a great program and easier for admission than some you have mentioned.

You should consider Tufts -- they have engineering and a great IR program.

Oops, sorry -- I misread. I see you want econ. (Ignore the previous post unless anyone knows if Tufts is strong in econ.)

I'll second the list of an above poster

CMU, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, and UMich

All great schools that have great programs in both econ and engineering and aren't impossible to get into

Are you planning on double majoring? If so, I hope you look at the requirements for each major because doing both econ and engineering is going to be very difficult in 4 years
