However, some high reputation schools have not sought ABET accreditation for their bioengineering or biomedical engineering degree programs, since PE licensing does not appear to be needed in the field.</p>
<p>If cost is a concern, Virginia Tech and Minnesota have lower list price cost of attendance than many other schools.</p>
