I have just gotten accepted into three different schools: Indiana University Kelley, George Washington University School of Business, and Penn State Smeal. I was wondering which is the best in terms of the education quality. I’m a PA Resident, and I will be paying these different tuitions after merit-aid
EFC
GW-$31820
Penn state-$25268
Indiana-$35306
Drexel-$28382
Finance is my major, but I’m especially looking towards investment banking. Can anyone please advise me on the best option?
Both are affordable. However, I do prefer IU. Do you see any advantage of going to IU over Penn State because Penn state is closer to where I live than IU
That is a nice way of saying that it will be very difficult from all the schools on your list. Not impossible, but I wouldn’t bank on it ( pun intended).
Thanks a lot! I’m also trying to gauge the GW Business Program. Would you say that the GW Business Program is good for financial fields outside of investment banking?
Direct admit to Kelley? Don’t remember if Smeal has direct admit. If not, I think admission to Finance is tough after sophomore year. I remember seeing 3.5-3.6 being the cutoff.
Kelley and Smeal are great options. Pick which one you like best. Good luck.
We actually liked Drexel. S20 and S21 applied. Not tops on their lists but nice option. I was impressed with LeBow. Co-op program is nice. The Honors kids we met were impressive.
For investment banking, you’ll want IU Kelley. I’m not sure there is much, if any, IB recruitment at the other schools, at least according to the articles I’ve read. Google “First Destinations” and name of each school to find the info you need.
