Suggestions for good science and music colleges

I want to be a vet so I want to major in Bio because I can get some of the pre-reqs out of the way and also have a solid major If i change my mind. I also want to major in music because I love playing my violin alot! I was thinking about double majoring and I have heard that It can be difficult but I am willing to try, or at least minor in music. If those don't work out though I need a school with an orchestra for non-music major students.
I take 6 IB classes ( similar to AP) and so my classs are weighted. My gpa will be from 3.9 - 4.2 by the end of the semester. I'm about upper middle class. size of college doesn't matter. prefer somewhere warm. uhm... i can't think of anything else. Any suggestions? It would really help me out :)

I am a junior by the way!

The college also does not have to have a conservatory.

Oberlin is great for music and science.

Hi,

I am planning to attend to one of this college to get a pre-med or biology degree. I applied to Baylor, University of Florida, IUPUI and University of Alabama at birmingham. Which one do you recommend me to go? After getting my degree I am planning to apply to the med-school having my top choice the college in where I got my degree.

Other than “warm,” the University of Rochester sounds like a perfect match for you. Note that it’s up there in the top 5 for freshmen retention rate at 96%, so students who go there love the school. It could be worth checking out even if it’s not in your preferred climate. The school certainly has what you’d want for science and music.

U Miami certainly comes to mind. Excellent in the sciences and music, and you can’t get much warmer.

Have you looked into schools in the So Cal area? Nice weather year-round. Sounds like Chapman University would be ideal for you. Good luck!

It is extremely challenging but, if you are up to the task, it’s hard to beat a double major at Johns Hopkins (Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Peabody Conservatory) [The Johns Hopkins University - Peabody Institute](<a href=“Home | Johns Hopkins University”>Home | Johns Hopkins University)

Just adding an admissions video for the University of Rochester. Before you dismiss it, try it. It’s really good. It’s a hip-hop music video performed by an all male a cappella group there:

And I don’t normally like that kind of music… nor boring admissions videos. The group did a great job with this one IMO. They’re definitely an asset to their University!
