Hey, I have a good selection of reaches but I only have one safety (UC Irvine) and no matches. I would really appreciate it if you guys could suggest + matches & safeties.
*SAT I: 2300 (800 CR, 770 W, 730 M)
*SAT II Math 720, US History 740, Lit 700 (retaking)
*National Merit Semi-Finalist
*3 "5"s on APs, 1 "4", & 2 "3"s (AP Scholar w/ Distinction)
*Rank 1/80
*All As except one B (4.3 W, 3.97 UW), most rigorous course load available
*Heavily involved in ECs (president of Amnesty Int'l & UNCIEF. secretary of MUN & Speech & Debate)
*Numerous local awards & a few state awards
I know I'm being ambiguous about the awards & ecs & AP but a lot ppl here on CC go to my school & I kinda want to remain anonymous. But if you think knowing the specifics will help you decide, just pm me! Thanks :)
BTW, I've applied to Stanford SCEA, Cal, UCLA, & UCI. & I am planning to apply to Columbia, Cornell, and UPenn.

What are you interested in majoring in? How important is location?

A no brainer is another UC to be sure you have a safety. For matches dozens of schools could be listed, you need to find those 'sleepers'.

If you are in-state UCLA & UCB are matches. All other UC's are safeties.

thanks, yeah i am in-state. I am looking to major in either business or law. i have really decided yet; ive done shadowing/interships in both areas...but im still torn! thanks! but can i consider UCB a match? it's such a good school. & location is not that important to me...though staying in CA does have its perks (good weather, family, etc.).

btw, does anyone want/have time to read all 3 of my UC essays? thanks!

I will read you essays.

I am not as sure about UC's as other colleges, but I do think you are one of the more competitive students in the UCB pool. They also have decent debate team and could pull you up if you did policy.

Don't major in pre-law if you decide to go that way; they score lower than a lot f other majors on the LSAT. Go philosophy, english, classics, ad naseum.
