Suggestions for my major + double minor choice?

<p>Hello all! </p>

<p>I am looking to get some opinions/suggestions for what I can/should do with my major and double minor choice. </p>

<p>Currently, I am a communications major with a concentration in Public Relations. My double minor is in Business and Cinema Studies. </p>

<p>I want to assure I get the best out of my four years here in college. I also know that according to many people "media and communications degrees are useless". However, I am happy with my chosen field of study and I believe in studying what you love not just studying for the income etc. My point with this is that I would appreciate helpful criticism! My choice for area of study is set. </p>

<p>I want to be involved in the business side of the film/media industry. I have a strong passion for the cinema and production. With my major and double minor at the moment, what exactly can I do?</p>

<p>Would it be better to declare a major in Television & Film studies & production with a minor in Business? </p>

<p>I do plan on interning and getting experience in the field in order to get the best out of my career. </p>

<p>Any other suggestions or opinions are greatly appreciated, I am in need of help! </p>

<p>The tv major sounds more aligned to your future career choice than the communications one however you’d need do your own comparison of classes. As well as interning with known production companies, get involved with the campus tv and film and radio stations so you build up a portfolio giving yourself an edge over people who fancy working in the field but haven’t got any experience.</p>
