Hey, my counselor urges me to not take more than 4 AP's, but I think I could handle it. As of now, my schedule for next year is:

AP English Lit
AP Calculus AB
AP Physics
AP Spanish
CP US Gov
CP Econonics

I want to take AP econ and US gov, but my counselor says I should drop Spanish if I want to do so... I don't know what I should do, how hard is US gov and econ? Would I be able to ace these classes? Should I keep the schedule as is, add AP econ / Us Gov, or drop Spanish and add econ / gov?

If it were my schedule, I would add AP Econ.. colleges love to see students with rigorous senior schedules. If you've had a strong high school experience, there is nothing wrong with making your last year demanding to your full potential. However, if you feel it would be too much of an overload, I would advise against it; you are the only one able to assert what you are capable of. Again, if you feel you can manage, then by all means challenge yourself.

i spoke with the history department chair and she said i could take college prep and take the exam, but like.. whats the point? i might as well get the extra GPA point and prep for the exam as well..

i could definitely handle the work, but exam prep wise, are gov / econ the types of classes i could read a review book in a week for?

I don't know about gov... but for econ.. yes you can honestly learn the material well enough for a 5 in less than week. But if you want to save yourself some cramming stress, give yourself some extra time.. like 2 weeks lol :P
