To be honest @T26E4, I came here just to hear how could I improve on my chances. Instead, I received posts such as:
-“It’s just foolish, IMHO. You’ll serve yourself much better if you aim to be the best you can be, eventually targeting a broad list of (hopefully) “elite” colleges.”
-“The GPA cut-off is 3.5. How many kids at your school have a 3.5 GPA? That’s how (non) selective the program really is.”
-“Looks like this kid’s family was trying to buy him awards.”
-“National Society of High School Scholars – you can omit that one too. It’s another vanity money-making venture”
I personally felt that you were putting me down instead of helping me. Look, I’m just a young kid with hopes and dreams just like all these other kids in CC. Don’t take it as an insult. It is my honest opinion. Don’t forget: we are only teenagers.
