Opinions+suggestions?

Thanks!

One thing to consider...I got a D in Ap chemistry will that screw any chance of getting in? I got a 720 on the Chemistry subject test though..

Would I have a good chance with regular decision or should I apply early decision?

Don't be to harsh

I'm looking at Boston College, Wake Forest, and Carnegie Mellon seriously, what are my chances for these?

that D is really gonna kill you. what major are you interested in?

I was interested in Majoring in Physics or Bio and going into dentistry or optometry…

Well you’ve done research so that’s a good sign. Is your gpa upward trend? Can you do more medicine stuff? Like volunteer at a hospital.

I have done 200+ hours of volunteering at the Yale new haven Hospital and am on the leadership council for the summer program there.

I am sorry steven but that D is going to be extremely detrimental to any of the majors you are looking into. As exemplix asked, is your gpa in an upward trend? This means that your lowest grades were freshman year and progressively got better throughout high school; that would ameliorate your unweighted gpa a little, maybe to a 3.55-3.6. Your research and ECs are good, but they cannot compensate for the grades. BU’s accelerated 7 year med is probably a reach, carnegie might be a reach. However, wake forest and BU regular pre-meds might be good for you. By the way, you left out your ethnicity, state, and any other potential hooks. These can help you (i.e. low income, first generation to college, URM, state like Missouri, etc.)

Ouch, my top choices right now would be Wake Forest and Boston College…what do you think of these for me? I do not believe I have any other hooks beyond my ECs… I live in CT and am asian american

Any other suggestions for reasonable reach schools to consider? Visited JHU and loved the campus/enviroment…might ED there what do you guys think?

Any more opinions?
