<p>I’m half Chinese, half white so I’m pretty sure I’m not getting any merit aid based off my race. And I haven’t taken the SAT yet since I’m a sophomore (I know it is a bit early to be making a thread like this, but I wanted to compile a list of colleges to set my sights on and motivate me through next year) My PSAT this year was 216 so I’m pretty confident I will make my state cutoff next year. I’m hoping if I study diligently for the SAT I can achieve around a 2200, or maybe even higher than that. Other than that I have a 4.0 UW GPA, good writing skills, and am wellrounded in my ECs (sports, music, writing, leadership, etc).</p>
<p>My sophomore PSAT was a 216, my junior PSAT was a 223, and my SAT was 2350. It’s easy enough to improve, so you definitely have reasonable goals.</p>

<p>I’m going to recommend the New College of Florida despite your weather worries. It’s small and excellent and offers guaranteed merit scholarships if you apply by January 15th, and pretty good ones at that, especially if you can get your SAT to 2150 or so or higher.</p>
