I'm taking the ACT in 3 weeks and I was wondering if anyone had any tips to improve your score on science and reading. English and math are mainly memorization, but what strategies worked for you guys in science/reading?</p>
<p>On reading i went from 31 to 33 and on science i went from 31 to 35 simply by reading a lot. Between the april and september act i read many classic novels and epic poems; they helped a lot in developing my reading comprehension and speed.</p>

<p>My daughter raised her Reading score from 28 and 26 (in Dec and April, respectively) to 35 on this most recent Sept test. She did 11 practice tests over the summer and made sure she understood her mistakes. She also learned to read a little faster, but read the whole section first before starting to answer the questions. There is a thread on here where someone described that technique (as opposed to looking at questions first). We now need to figure out how to raise the science as she repeatedly gets 30 or 31!</p>
