Suggestions on Universities/Colleges offering Engineering in Northeast

Hello, I'm a student in the Top 10% in my graduating class in a magnet program in an "inner city" in Connecticut. I have about a 3.3-3.4 GPA and I'm currently enrolled in an honors precalculus class, honors physics class, and ap computer science ab. I'm averaging about an A- in each of those classes. I'm interested in computer engineering, however, based on how much I know about myself I know that I wouldn't survive at certain schools like MIT, CalTech, Harvard, etc. I'm looking for some universities/colleges in the CT/NY/NJ/Mass area that offer a respectable engineering program besides the usual WPI, RPI, RIT, Franklin W.Olin, Stevens Tech, etc.? All of your suggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Also, does anybody in here have any experience or know much about Polytechnic U in New York?

Once again, thanks.

Take a look at Lehigh, Manhattan, UConn, SUNY Stonybrook, Clarkson and Syracuse. Good luck!

Take a good look at Northeastern in Boston.

I heard SUNY Buffalo has a good engineering program.

Thanks to all of you.

Syracuse! I've heard nothing but good things about it.

UMass Amherst?

I suggest that school only because A) I've heard of it and seems like a decent school B) It's not as hard of a school to get into like Harvard, MIT, etc. and C) It's in Massachusetts, which I like. :P
