Suggestions please

So, this is the story. I am looking to transfer to a film school (or an Art school with a film program) that offers a Bachelor's Degree. I went to a local Community College for a year, then transferred to George Mason University. I have been out of school for a little while now, and I have been preparing to apply to NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and Columbia College Chicago. The issue I have run into, is that NYU requires a recommendation from my most recent school. Unfortunately, I have only been able to get a recommendation from a professor at my first school, the community college.

I would really appreciate it, if anyone could give me any suggestions, for film schools that I could transfer to, that offer Bachelor's Degrees, and do not need recommendations. (Oh, and they should be in the US or Canada).

Also, would there be any schools that would take a recommendation from my community college professor? (Basically, a school that would take a recommendation from EITHER my most recent school, or my first)

Did you not finish at GMU? If you’re interested in other VA schools, VCU has a strong arts program, and I know film/cinema is available. I doubt they require a recommendation, either. I suspect that most schools are not as picky about where recommendations come from. You should do some independent research on film schools, then look up their specific requirements. Trying to find a school based on one requirement will prove much harder.
