Does anyone have any college suggestions for a truly average student in the Northeast? She is interested in biology and psychology. Stats are:
SAT I M 520, V 580
ACT 24
GPA 3.8, honors classes through pre-calculus and AP Bio.
Good extracurriculars, including biochemistry research, leadership, excellent community service. Anyone?

I was not sure if you meant schools in the NE or that you daugter was a student in the NE. There are many schools outside the traditional definition of the NE that you or she might like. Also, I included a few MW schools off of I-90 (with easy access and within about 5-6 hours from western NY), as some would consider it in the NE (at least up until the Indiana border). I'm in Washington state and I a just got back from driving to look at schools out east, so location is less of a problem in my case. It took me 15 hours to drive from Lawrence University in WI to Hartford, CT. The drive, BTW, is much better than from WI to WA--30 hours!!! I was shocked how small most of the midwestern and east coast state are from West to East.

Anyhow, I'd also look beyond NE. Just my humble opinion. Hope this helps.
