Suggestions??

I am looking for a college that has a good program in history, philosophy/religio, american studies, and.or pre-law, or something close to that. I want to go into law and im just looking for a college that meets my interests and will prepare me for law school. i love jazz music, acting and singing, debate, history, community service, and having a good time. I also would love to find a college that offers merit scholaeships. any suggestions?

How are your stats (just like gpa/rank/SAt)

the latest stats that i know are 4.0 GPA, 1 out of about 200. and and SAT's are predicted at 2250 or higher. im taking them this spring.

Would you consider one of the five remaining Seven Sisters top women's LACs and close behind Scripps or Agnes Scott?

Yes, but I haven't heard much about them, other than Agnes Scott.

For merit scholarship you could get 50% / Presidential scholarship with your stats at Muhlenberg in Pennsylvania. Skidmore in NY sounds like a good fit.

any preference on location? size of school?

Do you live in NYC or upstate?
U Rochester
Cornell

Hamilton, Dickinson, Northwestern and Fordham.

i live in upstate, right out side of fort drum. as far as location i would love to stay in the east or the southeast. and as far as size, im pretty open to any size.

7 Sisters used to be: Radcliffe, Wellesley, Mt. Holyoke, and Smith in Mass.; Barnard and Vassar in NY; Bryn Mawr in PA. Radcliffe got absorbed into Harvard, and Vassar went co-ed. So the 7 Sisters are now the 5.5 sisters. Agnes Scott isnt one of them.

To Megan: with your stats, you have a shot at any college anywhere. Just about any decent liberal arts college will have be good in the subjects you are interested in. I suggest you focus on which college overall suits your needs (city/rural, big/medium/small, big in sports/ not interested in sports. etc.), not on specific departments. There are so many colleges in the US and Canada that you should be able to find several that really match your preferences. Some overlooked ones in your area:Union College (NY), Clark U. (Mass.), Fordham. Also, Bucknell, Williams, Amherst, Lafayette, American U., Georgetown, Davidson, McGill, Colgate, Middlebury, Colby, Bates, Bowdoin, Washington and Lee, U of Virginia.

Thanks guys for all your input! i will definatly look into these schools.
