-Would like to major in Psychology.
-Would like a university with a very good psychology program. Prestige of the school itself doesn't matter, but would prefer if it was somewhat known for its psychology program.
-Would prefer smaller class sizes.
-Would prefer a suburban area.
-Cost is a concern due to financial difficulties.

Thanks again for reading.

Definitely target the UCs. Also Alabama, Tulane and Auburn for their good merit aid.

I don’t know how far you are looking but I know Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin is good for psychology I have heard. I am looking there for nursing too. It is about 3,300 students with an average class size of 20. The tuition including room and board is $30,000 and with your ACT and GPA you automatically get $12,500. You just apply to the school for that. There are a couple other you can apply for and those are for full rides and other things. It is in a suburban area and about 20 minutes from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I haven’t visited but I have a friend who is going there and he said the campus is really nice. As far as low income goes, you can apply for FAFSA which gives government grants that you don’t have to pay back. Also, you can go to fastweb.com because they have thousands of random scholarships you can apply for to win. Also, athletic scholarships may be available too for sports you may be good at. My advice would be to go to berecruited.com and make a profile and send invites to certain colleges you are looking at, or they will find you! I did that. Best of luck!

Look at USC, Pomona, and Occidental.

Thanks a lot for replies everyone.

ozzy3331-I am being looked at by several D2 schools for football but I am deciding not to play it in college since I just started a business and wouldn’t be able to commit myself to competitive sports. Thanks a lot for your suggestion though.

I was wondering if it would be worth applying early decision to any schools to increase my chances of being accepted to them.
It would also be great if somebody could tell me what “reach” schools to consider.

Thanks again.

It could be worth it to apply early decision depending on the school but be careful and look into them because some schools have binding early decisions where if you apply early you get into the school you have to go there and pull all your other apps.
