Suggestions?

I'm currently enrolled in Duke University. I'm going to give my current school more of a chance before completely writing it off, but I do want to start forming a tentative list of transfer options to go visit and do more in-depth research on.

I don't have any grades yet, but my classes have been going well so far so they should be good. As far as ECs go I'm in Model UN and have been doing community service. I have more free time than I thought so I'm thinking about joining a couple more activities.

As far as high school stats go:

GPA: 3.98
SAT: 800V, 730M, 780W
ECs: a lot...most important are Girl Scouts, Model UN, and summer internships at the local office of an investment banking firm

Why I'm unhappy with Duke mostly has to do with the social scene. I'd also prefer a city school, since the fact that there's not much to do in Durham has been driving me crazy.

Schools already on my list (not neccessarily to apply to, just to look into):

Georgetown
Chicago
NYU
CMU
UVA (I realize it's socially very similar to Duke, but I have a ton of friends there)

Are these realistic options for me? Any I should take out? Any schools I should add?

very realistic, if you want reaches, you can add upper tier ivies . . .
however, if you don't do good gradewise (3.7+) with ECs in your fall semester, things become far more difficult

Yeah, the thing is you should really wait for your first semester grades to get a better and accurate idea of what could be your reaches, safeties, and matches. Right now, it's really difficult to say b/c you don't have any college grades and you're only four or five weeks into the first semester.

Yes I know I should wait for grades, but I just wanted to make sure that my initial list was realistic, assuming I have a good first semester GPA. If I get less than a 3.7 I'll adjust my list but I'm crossing my fingers hoping that won't happen. :)

Thanks you guys.
