Suit or no suit?

I will be a Freshman this fall. I plan on majoring in Business-Finance. Is it a good idea to have a suit freshman year? I don’t plan on joining a frat.

Yes. Being a suit.

Have you worn a suit much? Do you look good in one?

Sorry, autocorrect. I meant to say bring a suit or at the very least, clothing you feel comfortable wearing to an interview. There will be a variety of things you need to dress nicely for, including receptions with the president (not at all uncommon), career fairs, interviews for all sorts of positions, etc. Business classes also often require presentations done in formal attire.

Will you be doing internships? Interviews?

My 16 year old son recently needed business attire to give a presentation in his high school business class.

At the bare minimum, make sure you have dress pants, a dress shirt, and a tie. (And needless to say, you should know how to tie the tie!!!)

But a suit would not be a bad idea for a business major.
