Suitcase School?

<p>Coming from far away to attend this school, I was wondering if UW is a "suitcase" school meaning that on the weekends or holidays the majority of students will leave campus and create a sense of loneliness for those who have to stick on campus and do not have family around.</p>

<p>Also how is the social life?? How do the parties work for freshman? I don't plan on joining a frat.</p>

<p>Well, I know that there is a large commuter population, but considering how freaking big the school is, I bet its still very lively during the weekends. </p>

<p>And, I suggest living in Lander if you’re a freshman, its a freshman-only dorm, so i’m guessing there will be kids who still want to party but didn’t join a frat or sorority (I’m kinda banking on this, cuz I like to party, but dunno if I’m rushing…)</p>
